She has worked in a variety of media including ceramics, printmaking, drawing and painting. The intricate details that characterize her metal sculptures must be carefully planned to survive the 30,000 degree temperatures of the plasma cutter. Her husband Bill handles this part of the process to ensure the designs’ survival. “It is very satisfying to continue my family history of metal working and I am enjoying applying my own skills and creativity to this process”, says Elaine. Their new art hit the market in early 2003 and has been featured in numerous shows, and is sold in galleries and shops around the country.
